Badger is currently recruiting for an Assembly Technician in Red Deer Manufacturing plant. As an Assembly Technician, you perform skilled tasks in the mechanical building of heavy trucks. We are looking for an individual that is mechanical minded and has experience in assembly and/or repair of vehicles or other types of equipment. Training of our product will be provided.

  • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
  • Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in to facilitate prompt correction or reporting
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Installation of new and added-on equipment
  • Accurate completion of work orders and timecards
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Other assigned work as required
  • Will interface with Safety department in regard to repairs and additions or changes as it relates to safety interaction for employees

Qualifications

  • Follow Badger best practices with focus on Best Operator, Best Truck
  • Ensure compliance to Badger’s safety and high service standards in the area. Badger is a safety-oriented company, and it is important to use this to help develop a competitive advantage and raise the standards of the industry
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Have a valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure, with strong attention to detail in a busy environment; both in a team and independently.
  • Must possess solid interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous improvements with a solution focused approach.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment while demonstrating patience.
  • Must be comfortable with heights
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada


Candidate will be required to successfully complete pre-employment screening, which includes criminal background check, and a drug and alcohol test.  
Successful candidates must provide their own safety footwear -CSA/ANSI approved, steel or composite toe, puncture resistant, min.15 cm (6”) high, min. 1.2cm (½’) heel).  Other personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vests, etc.) will be provided.
